It is important to review this policy thoroughly prior to securing a booking. By confirming a charter with TerraLinkCommons, you are signifying your acceptance of and agreement to these refund conditions.

Standard Cancellation and Refund Schedule

More than 72 Hours Before Charter

100% Refund

Eligible for: Entire refund less transaction charges

Processing Time: 5-7 business days

Processing Fee: €50 for credit card purchases

Requirements: Must be formally requested by email or telephone

24-72 Hours Before Charter

50% Refund

Eligible for: Half the total cost of the charter

Processing Time: 7-10 business days

Processing Fee: €25 is taken from the refund amount

Prerequisites: A valid cancellation reason is necessary. Administrative costs may be deducted

Less than 24 Hours Before Charter

No Refund

Eligible for: No refund possibility

Exceptions: Cases of urgency will be contemplated

Alternate Option: A voucher for future charters may be offered at the discretion of the management

Stipulations: Verification required for emergency claims

Weather-Dependent Cancellation Policy

Our Commitment in Case of Bad Weather

Your safety remains paramount. Should weather conditions be deemed hazardous for yacht operations by our licensed skipper, various alternatives may be offered:

  • Complete Refund: If it is not feasible to schedule for another date, 100% of payment will be refunded
  • Rebooking: Transfer your booking to another available slot without incurring additional charges
  • Charter Credit: Issue of a voucher which remains valid for one year from the date of the original booking

Method of Weather Evaluation

The following considerations constitute our weather assessment:

  • Analysis of wind speed and trajectory
  • Monitoring wave heights and marine conditions
  • Forecasts for visibility and expected precipitation
  • Advisories and cautions issued by maritime authorities
  • Expert judgment on safety from our captain

Decision Timeframe: A call on weather-related cancellations will be made no later than 4 hours prior to the scheduled departure time.

Refunds in Medical Emergencies

Considerations for Unforeseen Emergencies

Unanticipated medical predicaments are understood and may qualify for special consideration, including:

  • Accidents or ill health necessitating hospital admission
  • Demise of a close relative
  • Urgent military deployment or recall
  • Civic duties such as jury service or a legal subpoena
  • Significant natural events impeding travel

Documentation Essential for Processing

When seeking an emergency refund, kindly supply:

  • Medical verification or evidence from a hospital
  • Death notification, if relevant
  • Military movement orders
  • Legal mandates for court or jury appearance
  • Emergency travel warnings or pronouncements

Refund Action: Following receipt of the necessary proof, emergency refund claims are processed within 3-5 working days.

Cancellations Due to Operational Issues

Technical Difficulties

If the yacht designated to you encounters insurmountable mechanical difficulties:

  • Substitute Yacht: We aim to provide a similar substitute
  • Full Reimbursement: Should an appropriate replacement not be available
  • Proportionate Refund: In case the substitute yacht poses a price discrepancy
  • Compensation: Additional recompense may be contemplated for the inconvenience endured

Unavailability of Crew

On uncommon occasions where a certified crew is not available:

  • Efforts will be made to arrange an alternative crew
  • Full repayment if the charter cannot go ahead as scheduled
  • Opportunity to reschedule without extra costs

Refund Issuance Procedure

Method of Reimbursement

Approved reimbursements will be directed to the initial method of payment used at the time of reservation:

  • Credit Cards: Within 5-7 working days
  • Direct Bank Deposits: 7-10 working days
  • Cash or Cheque: 3-5 working days

Transaction Charges

Credit Card Transactions

€50 cost for cancellations beyond the 72-hour mark

Bank Transfer Reimbursements

€25 cost applied to all bank transfer repayments

International Transactions

Additional charges may be incurred for international operations

Vouchers in place of Refunds

Occasions for Voucher Offerings

Under certain circumstances, a credit for future services may be extended in lieu of a cash refund:

  • Late dispensations (fewer than 24 hours' notice)
  • Cancellations due to weather
  • Voluntary requests to reschedule
  • Interruptions due to operational setbacks

Credit Conditions

  • Validity Span: One year from the issuance date
  • Non-transferable: Credits cannot be transferred to other clients
  • Monetary Worth: Equal to the full booking amount (exclusive of transaction fees)
  • Applicability: Applicable towards any future available charter
  • Usage Period: No extension past the 12-month term

Refunds for Partial Services

Disruptions During Service

If your charter experience is interrupted or shortened owing to events within our control:

  • A refund prorated on the basis of the unused portion
  • A credit equivalent to the disrupted service for future use
  • Complimentary offerings or service enhancements

Guest-Originated Disruptions

Should the charter be prematurely ended on account of guest behavior or breach of safety norms:

  • Non-refundable for the unused time
  • Payment required in full
  • Potential for additional costs to be levied

Settling Disputes

In the event of a disagreement over a refund determination, you may:

  • Appeal for a managerial reassessment
  • Submit further evidence or documents
  • Contact consumer protection bodies for mediation
  • Explore judicial remedies under relevant laws

Final Step: Assessment and Execution

Once acknowledged, which will happen within a 24-hour window, your request will be evaluated based on this policy. A verdict will be delivered within 48 hours, and any authorized refunds will follow the timelines mentioned previously.

  • Refund appeals must be made in written form
  • Refunds will be transacted in €, independent of the original payment's currency
  • We strongly suggest procuring travel insurance
  • This document is subject to amendments, effective with a 30-day notification
  • Returns are subject to the prevailing tax laws and regulations
